Highgate Hill House School Learners Honour Remembrance Day with Reflection and Community Spirit

Learners at Highgate Hill House School, took part in a meaningful Remembrance Day assembly to honour those who have served and sacrificed. During the assembly, secondary learners explored the historical and cultural significance of the day, participated in the two-minute silence, and displayed deep respect and thoughtful reflection throughout.

In addition, four learners took part in local remembrance parades in their own time, demonstrating remarkable commitment and community spirit. The school is immensely proud of their dignity and engagement during this important occasion.

Primary learners also explored the significance of Remembrance Day through creative activities. They produced beautiful artwork, including handmade poppies, to commemorate those who have given so much, combining reflection with artistic expression.

Kerry Taylor, Principal of Highgate Hill House School, said:

“Remembrance Day provides an important opportunity for our learners to reflect and pay tribute to those who have served. I am incredibly proud of the thoughtful, respectful, and creative way our learners engaged with both the assembly and community events.”

Highgate Hill House School continues to foster a culture of reflection, respect, and civic responsibility, ensuring learners understand the significance of commemorative events and the value of community involvement.
