I am delighted to have joined Highgate Hill House School as Headteacher in September 2020. This school was created specifically to provide a unique and enjoyable learning experience for young people aged 5-16 years old with social, emotional and mental health difficulties and autism.
Having spent 11 years as Headteacher of a special school in Sussex, turning it around from 'inadequate' to 'good' in just 14 months, I bring with me a wealth of experience and enthusiasm which I believe will benefit each and every one of our children. I have also recently completed a Counselling degree at the University of Brighton, so I am a big advocate of the therapeutic intervention that sits so neatly alongside our core curriculum.
We will continue to provide innovative, personalised and exciting learning opportunities that ensure our students are happy and successful in life, working with external partners and professionals along the way to enrich our offer.
As Headteacher I very much welcome parental, carer, pupil and staff feedback and engagement on all aspects of our incredible school, and look forward to continuing to build on our success.
A very warm welcome to Highgate Hill House School, I look forward to meeting you.
