Position: School Cook (Temporary cover to December 2020)
Salary £10.20 per hour
Hours: 22.5 hours per week, Term time only (10am – 2.30pm)
Highgate Hill House School is an independent co-educational day school for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), aged 5 to 16 years with social, emotional and mental health needs, including Autism.
This represents a great opportunity for a self-motivated and passionate cook to fit in with daily school life. Preparing, cooking and serving approximately 50 hot and cold lunches to include all dietary requirements of our children where necessary and on occasion, preparing any staff and student meeting buffets as required. Working within the current Health and Safety guidelines to ensure safety of the kitchen and dining room areas.
Reporting to the School Business Manager, you will be responsible for planning and costing menus in order to provide a balanced healthy and nutritious offer to meet the needs of all. Maintaining accurate records of all food supplies, fridge / freezer and cooking temperatures, ensuring correct storage and stock rotation with responsibility for all food orders and deliveries.
