Discover job opportunities at school recruitment event

Highgate Hill House School, a co-educational school for children with special educational needs aged 5 to 16 years, near Holsworthy, will be opening up its doors to prospective candidates, at a ‘staff recruitment open event’ on Saturday 12th March.

The event will allow those who may be interested in one of the roles currently advertised, an opportunity to meet staff, look around the school, and answer any questions they may have in a relaxed, informal way. As well as taking a tour of the school, attendees will be able to speak to current members of staff about the roles in more detail, and see if we might be the right fit for them

The school is currently advertising a number of exciting job opportunities, and encourages anyone who thinks they might fit the criteria to pre-register for the event which starts at 10am.

Current vacancies include Head of Therapy, Learning Support Assistant, Lead Teachers in English, Science and Computing, plus a Cook.

Headteacher Gina Wagland said: “I think it’s quite hard for people to imagine what it’s actually like working in a special school, and so the idea behind this event is that candidates can come along and get a real feel for who we are and what we do, before submitting their application. Many of our roles are term-time only, and as such can be a great option for people trying to fit working around their own children. It really is a unique place to work, we are such a warm, friendly team and no two days are ever the same”.
