Council chief executive receives tour of Highgate Hill House School's facilities
THE chief executive officer of Devon County Council visited Highgate Hill House Special Needs School in Holsworthy on Wednesday, May 17, to see first-hand the excellent facilities and woodland surroundings in which the school is housed.
Phil Norrey enjoyed meeting and chatting with students and staff as well as meeting with the head teacher, chair of the board Julie Smith and Sir Peter Birkett, the ambassador for the school to discuss partnership opportunities.
Highgate Hill House School is a new day co-ed special school for up to only 35 children aged five to 16 years, with social, emotional and mental health needs, including autism. It is on the border with Devon and Cornwall, equidistant from Holsworthy, Bude and Launceston. The school’s motto is, ‘happy, successful students’.
